 Course Description  

Focus on the nursing care of clients before and after surgery and care of the client during labor and delivery, postpartum care and care of the newborn. Concurrent enrollment in NURS 111 required.

 Prerequisite  

Prerequisite: NURS 103, 104, 109 and 110.

  1. Describe the care of the client with cardiovascular disorders including Arrythmias and Inflammatory and Valvular disorders.
  2. Describe the care of the client with an altered immune response.
  3. Describe the care of the client disorders of the lower respiratory tract and Obstructive Pulmonary disorders.
  4. Describe the care of the client with disorders of the Hematologic system.
  5. Describe the care of the client with intracranial problems, chronic neuorologic disorders,peripheral nervous system disorders and spinal cord disorders.

  5. Neurologic System - intracranial disorders, chronic neurologic disorders, disorders of the peripheral nervous system and spinal cord problems.
