After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Identify the different types of economic systems.
  2. Analyze the effect of a business cycle on the economy.
  3. Analyze the role of business in society, the different types of business ownership, and the special business opportunities that exist for minority business owners.
  4. Apply the laws of supply and demand to market prices.
  5. Relate their knowledge to a real business situation.
  6. Interpret projected profit/loss in a business situation.
  7. Demonstrate customer service skills and recognize the importance of culture, age, and gender.
  8. Understand and appreciate how people's culture influences their buying behavior.
