 Course Description  

Credit applied to individuals so requesting who have completed the Basic Police Office Standards Training (training programs as prescribed by a State certified law enforcement training facility. Appropriate documentation required. Credits may be applied to individual agency collegiate requirements. Not applicable to ATA or AAUCT programs.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Receive certification and commissioning as a police officer. Must be graduates of approved state law enforcement academies.
  2. Local officers will have satisfied the basic police officer training requirement for law enforcement under the Washington State Mandated Basic Certification, RCW 43.10.200, which satisfies the performance objectives grouped by the required instructional blocks. Officers from other jurisdictions must show evidence of curriculum compliance from their respective state.
