Introduction to basic and advanced image editing techniques. Use Adobe Photoshop to create graphics, manipulate photographs, and optimize digital images for the Web. Strongly recommended: computer literacy and file management skills.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

2. Use Photoshop tools, menu bars and palettes.
3. Understand image size, resolution and color modes.
4. Use basic and advanced selection techniques.
5. Create type.
6. Understand and use layers and blending modes.
7. Use image adjustments and color correction.
8. Import and export images.
9. Optimize images for the Web.
10. Create animations, rollovers and image maps for the Web.
