Champions of Diversity Nomination Form

We encourage you to have all the necessary information before you begin the nomination form. A save button is not available, therefore once you begin the nomination form, it must be filled out completely and submitted. Skagit Valley College in partnership with Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, The Evergreen State College, North Cascades Institute, University of Washington Bothell, University of Washington Seattle, Washington State University, and Western Washington University seeks nominations for 10th - 12th grade students from Skagit, Island and San Juan County high schools who have contributed to diversity on their campuses and in their communities.

Nominated seniors will be considered for scholarships offered by public colleges/universities in the state of Washington. Nominations are due by Friday, October 16, 2015 at 5:00:00 PM. Selected students will be honored December 3rd at 7:00pm at the Champions of Diversity Awards Ceremony to be held in McIntyre Hall, Skagit Valley College, Mount Vernon, WA.

Nomination Principles for COD Awards

In order to nominate your student for Champions of Diversity, you must read over and confirm your understanding of the following-

  1. Maximum number of nominations: Each nominator may nominate three seniors for scholarships and two sophomores/juniors for awards. Seniors are not eligible for awards.

I have read and understand the Nominating Principles for COD Awards and/or Scholarships which includes the Reasons to Nominate Students.
