Your Program Options

Options in the Diesel Power Technology program combine classroom theory with real experience. You will work in a large modern shop, equipped with the latest computer and electronic components.

  • Diesel Power Technology, Associate in Technical Arts degree, 2-year program
  • Diesel Power Technology Certificate, on completion of diesel technical courses and a limited number of specific general credits
  • Individual Technical Certificate, developed with permission of the instructor, focusing on particular specialties in the program

Your career choices include: diagnosis and repair of heavy trucks, industrial and agricultural machinery, transit, marine, or generator power sets. All over the world, increasingly complex diesel technologies are driving a demand for trained technicians.

Entry into the Program

Please apply to the Admissions Office. Students may enter the Diesel Power Technology program at the beginning of Fall quarter. To enter the program Winter quarter, advanced standing may be requested for prior education or experience with Department Chair approval.
