Advisors provide students with information on college policies, course and program requirements, and college services to connect with. Advising Tools and Resources

New and returning students are encouraged to use the Online Student Toolbox to access registration functions, personal academic information, and other advising tools.

After completing the placement test, new students may contact Admissions for a two-hour Group Advising session. Advisors will assist student in reviewing placement test scores, program planning and registering for classes.

Returning and current students should meet with an advisor on a regular basis for assistance in course selection and program planning.

Please note that your registration appointment date is NOT your advisor appointment. It is for registration only. You must make a separate appointment to meet with your advisor.

Evening Counselor Availability

After 5 p.m. appointments are available upon request on Thursdays at  the Mount Vernon Counseling and Career Services office.   Please call 360-416-7654 to make an appointment.
