Welcome to Business & Community Development

Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills for work, start or grow your business, or learn something new in your spare time, Skagit Valley College Business and Community Development program has a wide array of workshops and services to help meet your needs.

The Business Resource Center offers a “Getting Started” packet, a lending library, a computer lab with internet access, free one-on-one business counseling and the many workshops listed here. The workshops are offered in Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor and Friday Harbor.

Community Education provides workshops for lifelong learning. Kids’ College and the new Prime Time at Skagit Valley College, a program for active retirees, provide classes for learners of all ages. You can earn CEUs or contact hours through our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program. All workshops offered in this schedule can be customized and provided to your employees at your workplace or at Skagit Valley College.
