Artsphere 2007 was a big success. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are already planning for Artsphere 2008. We will post dates and information to this websites as they become available.

Celebrate the world of arts and communication at Artsphere

Artsphere features high school students participatin in a variety of competitions, exhibitions, activities, workshops, and/or performances in Theater Arts, Choral Music, Jazz Ensemble, Visual Arts, Speech/Broadcast, World Languages, Creative Writing, and Cultural Arts, not to mention a chance to visit McIntyre Hall, the region’s acclaimed performing arts center. Parents and community members are also welcome to attend. In addition, SVC faculty members and students, representing many SVC programs, will be available to answer questions about degree and program options. Admission to Artsphere is free.

Sliced pizza and beverages will be available for purchase at lunch venues around campus, or students may bring their own lunches.

In addition to the schedule of events, a special Monotype Printmaking workshop will be presented by SVC adjunct art instructor Natalie Niblack from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Hodson Hall 208. Students will have an opportunity to experiment with this painterly printing technique. The cost for the workshop is $15 for students and $30 for community members and pre-registration is required.
