On May 6, 2008, hundreds of students, job seekers and career explorers will gather at the Dave DuVall Pavilion on the Mount Vernon campus to check out career and job possibilities with up to 100 local employers. The theme of this event is "Mapping Your Future" and speaks to the necessary planning and tracking of one's progress as they make their way along a career pathway.
Also offered on this day will be a series of workshops including an employer panel, résumé writing tips, job interview success and a presentation/panel that will address "Encore Careers" for those seeking to postpone retirement and keep their hand in the game. Make plans now to attend this event open to students as well as the general public. Employers and attendees may register after creating an account in our Online Job Board. Once an account is established, you may search Career Events to sign up for workshops or to reserve a booth as an employer.
