Coach Baird Steps Down, Leah Eberle Named As Replacement

Head Softball Coach Dani Baird announced her resignation recently due to a re-location to the Portland/Vancouver area. Leah Eberle; longtime Western Washington University assistant; has been named as her replacement.

Coach Eberle served as an assistant coach for the Vikings from 2001-2008 before taking last year off as she continued to work on her Masters in Sports Psychology. Prior to her move to Western, Coach Eberle served as an assistant at Edmonds CC for two years. Leah received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. While at Pacific, she earned NAIA All-American Honors as an outfielder, and was also named NAIA District 2 and Pacific University Female Athlete of the Year for the 2001-02 academic year.

The Skagit Valley College Athletic Department is very pleased to welcome Coach Eberle, and looks forward to the continued development of the Cardinal Softball Program.
