Getting Started
I want to register for classes.
• New students
Before you can register, make sure you have already applied for admission. You will receive a SID (Student Identification Number) and PIN (Personal Identification Number). As a new student, you must register in-person or with advisor assistance. Close

Returning and Current students
It's your choice, you can register online or in-person. Note: if your address, phone number, or email has changed since you last attended, log onto MySVC, using your SID and PIN, and update your information. Close

Non-Degree Seeking, Community Ed & Computer Training Institute students
It's your choice, you can register in-person, online, or by mail. Close

Running Start students
You will need your Running Start Form signed by your High School Counselor and Parents. You must also meet with a SVC advisor to get a signature the first quarter you register, then you can register.Close •
Adult Basic Education students
You must register in-person or with advisor assistance. Close •
High School Completion students
You must register in-person or with advisor assistance. Close •
Students who require permission
You either need a signature to register in person, or an access code to register online. Close •
Unemployed/Underemployed Tuition Waiver and Staff Waiver students
The Unemployed/Underemployed Tuition Waiver can only be used on a "space-available" basis, therefore, you must register in-person on or after the first day of the quarter. Close •

Registration: Step-by-Step
• How do I register online?
Click MySVC on the SVC home page.
In left-hand column, under Student Toolbox, click on the Registration Tools drop down menu, and select Register Online (add or drop).
Enter your login information
Student Identification Number (SID).
Personal Identification Number (PIN). The default PIN is your birth date (MMDDYY format). It is always a good idea change your PIN, for security reasons.
Click Login
Using the drop-down menu, enter the Quarter for which you are registering. Click Enter Registration.
Answer the Registration Questions. To continue to Registration, click Submit answers.
From the Welcome form, click Continue to access the Registration form.
In the Item Number fields on the Registration form, enter the Item Number(s) that you want to add or drop (for example: 4592 or 8854).
Click the Submit Add/Drop Button. If you enter a code you are already registered for, you will be dropped from the course. Note: Online services (including adding and dropping) end after the 3rd day of the quarter. Close •
How do I register in-person?
Visit the Registration Office at the campus or center where you will attend. Close

Waitlist
When you are on a waitlist and an opening occurs, you will be automatically registered in that course, so be sure to check the waitlist daily to avoid unwanted debt! To check your position, to see if you have been enrolled in a class, or to see if you have been removed from the waitlist, login to MySVC and click Check Your Waitlist Status. Note: It is your responsibility to monitor your movement on the waitlist because you will be charged for all classes in which you are enrolled from the waitlist.
