Presidential Search

Dear SVC Community,

On behalf of the SVC Board of Trustees I am pleased to announce that Dr. Thomas Keegan, an accomplished leader in higher education and current president of Peninsula College, will begin his tenure as the sixth president of Skagit Valley College on Monday, March 12, 2012. Plans are underway to officially welcome Dr. Keegan and his family in early spring.

I would also like to acknowledge current President Dr. Gary Tollefson for his legacy of success over the past nine years, giving us the foundation on which to build a strong future. Dr. Tollefson will remain with us until February 29, 2012 and over the next few months will work with us in preparing for a smooth transition.

We look forward to working with you in creating a bright future for Skagit Valley College, our students and the communities we serve.
