Celebrating Word Culture, Global Service, International Business, Human Rights and the Global Environment
Raj Patel, academic, activist and author of Stuffed and Starved – Markets, Power and the Hidden Battle for the World Food System, and the New York Times best seller The Value of Nothing, will speak at Skagit Valley College’s Mount Vernon campus on January 28 about the World Food System and what is being done in many parts of the world to address the inefficiencies and injustices inherent in that system, with a focus on more sustainable ways of feeding ourselves and the rest of the world.

Tickets for the 2013 Annual International Dinner and GlobalFest Keynote Address are now on sale at the McIntyre Hall Box Office. Seating is limited so buy your tickets early! Please note that there is no separate ticketing or admission for the Keynote Address by Raj Patel, as that is included in the dinner ticket price.
