Learning Management System @ SVC
The primary Learning Management System (LMS) at Skagit Valley College (SVC) is Canvas with a few courses using other LMSs. eLearning is available to support faculty and students. Check out this site often for updates in trainings for Canvas and other instructional tools, updates that will affect all online courses, and helpful guides to ensure you have a successful online teaching experience. If you have any questions about any instructional tool please do not hesitate to contact us or use this site as a resource.
- eLearning Faculty-in-Residence (aka Faculty Mentors) serve as a peer resource for faculty teaching online. Each mentor will work cooperatively with the eLearning team, other eLearning Faculty Mentors, and individual faculty members teaching online.
- Faculty Checklist for online instructors. Ever worry you are forgetting something? Worry no more, eLearning has created a checklist for all faculty teaching online that will help you remember all the things you need to do before the quarter starts. It can be a helpful tool when we all are so busy to get ready for the new quarter.
- eRequest forms are available for Winter. All online and hybrid courses need to be requested. It is important that everyone that is teaching an online course fill out the form so the eLearning team can direct students to the correct LMS for their course. For faculty/staff eLearning support is available several different ways.
