Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training

Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training — The I-BEST program is designed for GED (General Education Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) students.  It brings together two instructors — one to teach professional/technical content and the other to teach skills in reading, math, or language — so you can earn credits toward a certificate or degree and move into a better job!  Winter classes include Patient Registration, Manufacturing, Early Childhood Education, Nursing Assistant, and Welding.

English as a Second Language

English as a Second Language — ESL classes emphasize listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  We can help you with job readiness and transition to GED preparation or college certificate and degree programs, as well as learning English for use in everyday life.  New students should enroll in a one-week orientation session.  Students enrolling in ESL classes pay only $25 per person per quarter.  A tuition waiver for those who qualify based on income is available.

Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education — Day and evening ABE courses are designed for adult students who need basic instruction in reading, writing or math to prepare for the GED exam or for certificate and degree programs.  New students should enroll in a one-week orientation session.  ABE students pay only $25 per person per quarter.  A tuition waiver for those who qualify based on income is available.
