Self-Assessment
The Career Key - Provides a free, online self- assessment inventory. This inventory will give you a Holland code, which is helpful in further career exploration.
Career Focus 2000 - provides a free, online interest inventory of 180 questions, which analyzes responses into 18 occupation fields and provides descriptions of specific occupations.
Keirsey Temperament Sorter - provides a personality inventory based on the work of Meyers-Briggs. Take the inventory free of charge, but for extensive explanation, you must pay a fee.
The Career Questioinnaire - The College Board has developed this quick questionnaire to assess temperament, abilities preferred working conditions, desired educational level, and GOE interest area. Your profile results are then linked to a list of matching occupations, which you can view in detail.
Interest Finder Quiz - Provides a sample quiz (60 interest test items) designed to acquaint the user with a natioinal test interst-finder which is a part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program. Your profile results are analyzed and fit into two of the six Holland work types.

America's Career InfoNet - Part of the America’s Career Kit from the US Dept. of Labor and provides excellent general information on the U.S. job market (outlook, wages, trends, employers’ information, state profiles) and as well as valuable resources for career planning.
Association of Computer-Based Systems for Career Information - Provides links to career information in most states. Membership is necessary to proceed.

Career Paradise: Career Planning Process - Comprehensive site developed by Emory University provides a variety of assistance in career planning and good links to other resources.
Careers On-Line for people with disabilities - Provides information on employment opportunities for people with disabilities. There are job listings and recent updates.
Jobweb - A good general resource provided by the National Association of Colleges and Employers; especially strong in cyberspace research tools.
Occupational Information Network - These are products developed by the U.S. Department of Labor with information about occupations skills and training.
Occupational Outlook Handbook - Online version, recently updated, of the book published every two years by the U.S. Dept. of Labor, which provides concise information on a variety of careers.
O*NET - Career research resources. The O*NET Career Exploration Tools are a set of career exploration and assessment tools that help individuals (workers and students) identify their work-related interests and abilities and what they consider important on the job, so that they can explore occupations that match their interests, abilities, and preferences.
College Board - Comprehensive information on majors and colleges listed. Over 900 majors profiled. You will be able to focus on what's important to you and see a list that reflects your choices.
