HS21+ Adult High School Diploma is a competency based high school completion program for adults 21 years of age or older who do not have a high school diploma or GED®.  Mastery of competency to meet high school requirements may be met through high school and college coursework and/or prior learning gained from work, life, and/or military experience.  Unmet requirements may be achieved through additional coursework at Skagit Valley College.;

Basic Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Official high school transcript(s) for evaluation of completed high school coursework.
  • Oral and written competency in English is needed to complete coursework and program portfolio.  Students who do not meet required English competencies may enroll in ABE or ESL courses to improve their reading, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Must enroll in HS21+ Portfolio class, (HSC 010,) for evaluation of competencies and development of a HS21+ completion plan.
