RESPONSIBILITIES OF DRAMA SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS
Drama Scholarship students will:
-
Be enrolled at Skagit Valley College as a full time student and a declared theatre arts 'major'.
-
Maintain a C grade point average (2.0) in all courses.
-
Support each department production by participating on stage or off stage. Casting is open to all students and community members. Drama Scholarship students are not guaranteed a role in any play. If you are not cast in the show, you will be given another assignment.
-
We encourage (but do not require) students to participate in other activities to enrich the Theatre Program. These activities might include volunteering in the drama programs of area schools or community theatres, assisting in recruiting new students, providing assistance to on campus groups presenting in the theatre, producing and directing productions outside of the regular mainstage season.
While Drama Scholarships are awarded for the academic year, they are reviewed each quarter and can be revoked if these responsibilities are not being met.
