The Cardinal Men's Basketball team had a tremendous run in the 39th Annual Skagit Valley College Turkey Tournament this weekend and came away with the Championship trophy with a win over perennial powerhouse Tacoma Community College.
Skagit won their first game over Portland CC with a late 3-pointer by Zane McDonald. The Cardinals then matched up with Green River on the second day and fell behind by 22 points in the first half. Skagit then came back to take the lead with 5 minutes remaining and won it again with another 3 as time expired, this time by Dalton Daniels, to give Skagit a 2 point victory. In the Championship game it was another hard fought battle as it again came down to the final seconds with Skagit holding on to a 3-point win over the Titans.
