THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Human Services Advisory Committee members are past graduates and/or professionals in the field of Human Services. Our membership represents both public and private sectors. The committee is advises the faculty and staff on the current trends and focuses within the professional community. They are active participants in helping guide and improve our program. Below are the members of our Advisory Committee.
Bob Hicks

Bob works with Skagit Youth & Family Services. He has been professionally involved with Human Services for over 25 years and a member of the Advisory Board for fifteen years.
David Wilder

David is a strong advocate and voice for people with disabilities. David is also a valued employee of Chinook Enterprises and member of our Advisory Committee. He has started his own advocate organization called People First of Skagit County. David is working very hard to make this program a success. Rose Ness

Rose Ness has worked in the addictions field just over t15 years, starting out in youth residential treatment at Ryther Child Center in Seattle, Washington. After she earned her CDP, she then obtained a Master of Arts degree in Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle graduating in December 2000. From there, she’s worked in various contexts including Correctional Mental Health, Pregnant and Parenting Women, Outpatient CD Treatment and as an Interventionist in the public school systems. Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Director at Pioneer Center North, a long-term residential treatment program for Involuntarily Committed Chemically Dependent adults. Rose has also maintained a private practice since 2003.
Greg Bauer

Greg and his wife Lynn Dee are the owners of Alipine Recovery Services in Snohomish and King counties. Greg has been a chemical dependency professional for over 25 years.
Lori Walton

Lori is a 2007 graduate of the SVC Human Services Program. She is currently one of the lead counselors at Pioneer Center North. Lori has 12 years of human services professional experience.
