Donyae Allen is a sophomore at Sedro-Woolley High School. Donyae is a community leader and a mentor to children in the Upper Skagit Tribe's youth program. He plans to attend college and study science.

Rebecca Castaneda is a junior at Concrete High School. Rebecca has overcome many obstacles. Even though these obstacles would cause the average student to give up on their education, she did not. She is able to handle being a single mom, while working in the community and going to school with a smile.

Mayra Delgado is a sophomore at Burlington Edison High School. Mayra baby sits for families who attend the Multicultural Club activities. She also volunteers at West View Elementary to translate for students, staff, and parents.

Juan Farias is a junior at Burlington Edison High School. Juan, as the Multicultural Club Vice President, volunteers his time to organize the club. He helps coordinate the bilingual parent nights and helps create a positive and diverse environment at his school.

Vaani Ganeson is a junior at Mount Vernon High School. Vaani is active in varsity swimming, track, Key Club and Honor Society. She enjoys orchestra and sports medicine. With her gifts of friendliness and maturity, she helps people work well together. She is a natural bridge builder.

Brian Hernandez is a senior at Burlington Edison High School. Brian uses his social skills in different types of groups and clubs. He has competed nationally in DECA. He plans to major in accounting or business administration.

Shantel Love Juarez is a senior at Burlington Edison High School. Shantel plans to be a cosmetologist but will settle for no less than studying at Gene Juarez. She organized the new cosmetology club. She is helpful, determined and caring.

Teresa Juarez is a junior at Anacortes High School. Teresa displays a level of maturity well beyond her years. She shares her culture, customs and language with students and staff. She maintains a solid GPA while working 20-30 hours per week.

Roxanna Lopez is a sophomore at Sedro Woolley High School. Roxanna takes initiative in gathering students and community members to end racism. She plans on studying law and working on immigration issues and human rights.

Manuel Mancillas is a senior at Mount Vernon High School. Manuel believes that diversity is ever-present in our community and our lives. He is clearly a proponent for respecting people of diverse cultures.

Maika Mattson is a junior at Anacortes High School. Maika is a member of DECA and the International and Drama Clubs. Fluent in Japanese, she is a very strong student who participates in ballet and plays the flute. Her future goal is to study International Relations.

Cassandra Medici is a junior at Sedro-Woolley High School. Cassandra immediately became an active participant in the "Be the Change Team". She is an energetic leader who promotes respect and celebrates diversity.

Anailia Ortez is a senior at Burlington Edison High School. Anailia is in Key Club, plays softball and is an active member of FCCLA. She is an excellent role model. She plans to become a teacher and would like to attend Brigham Young University.

Baudelina Paz is a sophomore at Mount Vernon High School. Baudelina has participated in the Farmworkers' and Immigration Reform marches. She plans on becoming a teacher to encourage other Hispanic children to continue their education.

Alana Quintasket is a sophomore at La Conner High School. Alana has participated in the canoe journey program for the Swinomish Tribe for the past seven years. She is a cheerleader and has maintained a 3.8 GPA.  She is seen as a leader among her peers.

Diba Samadani is a junior at Anacortes High School. Diba participates in the International Club, Honor Society and School for Schools. She plans to major in Medicine and join the Peace Corps.

Richard Weyrich is a junior at Sedro-Woolley High School. Richard joined the "Be the Change Team" to rid the world of prejudice. He is a dependable leader with strong values and believes in the importance of bringing students together.
