Cardinal Newspaper

The Cardinal Newspaper is produced by students at Skagit Valley College. We operate as a small club in conjunction with the Journalism classes. First-year Journalism students serve the paper as reporters while also exploring the other aspects of production. Advanced Journalism students and club members comprise the production staff.

Journalism classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters at the Mount Vernon Campus of Skagit Valley College.

Tuesdays and Thursdays
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Because we are a student-run paper, our staff has limited office hours. Cardinal staff are usually in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., during class hours for Journalism. Our Staff Advisor, Rip Robbins, who is also the General Manager of the KSVR Radio Station, is available during most business hours. If you wish to speak with a Cardinal staff member in person, it is best to make an appointment first.

E-mail is by far the best way to reach us, because of our flexible office hours and rotating staff. It may take 2-3 business days for a staff member to get back to you. Also be aware that the Cardinal does not print during Summer Quarter, so our office is usually closed between mid-June and mid-September.

(360) 416-7862

Fax: (360) 416-7822
