What is Academic Alert?

Any student who is enrolled in at least 5 credits and earns below a 2.00 GPA in a quarter is placed on ACADEMIC ALERT. Since graduation from Skagit Valley College requires a minimum cumulative college level GPA of 2.00, it is an indication that you are not making the progress necessary to graduate.

How do I get removed from it?

Enrolling the next quarter in at least 5 credits and earning a GPA of 2.00 or higher for the quarter will remove you from ACADEMIC ALERT.

What happens if I don't earn a 2.00 GPA enrolled in 5 or more credits my next quarter?

If you enroll in 5 or more credits and earn less than a 2.00 GPA for the quarter, you will be placed on PROBATION for the next quarter that you enroll.
