How to work with Tegrity
The Washington state community and technical colleges are migrating to the Panopto video and lecture capture system. Panopto will replace our current video and lecture capture system, Tegrity.
The decision to change vendors was partially due the request for improved support to faculty and administrators, and the end of the state contract that will take place August 31th, 2014. By majority vote, the E-learning Council, with representatives from all colleges, elected to replace the current Tegrity system, and after a request for proposal process that solicited and reviewed faculty and admininistrator reviews and feedback, Panopto was selected.
Recordings made prior to May 27th, 2014 will be migrated to Panopto for you. The links to Tegrity videos currently in Moodle classes will remain intact and continue to work until August 31st, but will need to be replaced prior to Fall quarter. No new recordings should be made on Tegrity after June 30th, 2014. If you have created recordings after May 27th, a copy must be downloaded from Tegrity so that the content is not lost after our contract expires.
For assistance manually downloading Tegrity recordings, please contact Vanessa Scee (see contact information below).
Tegrity enables instructors to record classroom instruction and post it online:
