Meet Manufacturing Students

The environment here is like a family. Both instructors and fellow students care about my learning and take the time to assist and support me along the way.

ATA Operations Management Student

Coming from a manufacturing background I have been able to use many of my technical, blueprinting and CAD skills in helping me complete the program. Upon completion of my certificates and degree, I am looking forward to finding a new career with a local manufacturing company doing quality assurance.

I came to SVC to get a few welding certifications. I had no intention of working towards an Associate’s degree or the funding to obtain one. Through the support, encouragement, and mentorship of the staff at Skagit (primarily the Workforce Grants office), I graduated with High Honors. I was able to acquire an Associate in Technical Arts, certification in Manufacturing Technology, accreditation in composite wind blade manufacturing and repair, and invited to join Phi Theta Kappa. Now my daughter has completed the prerequisites and will be a full-time SVC student in the Pharmacy Technician program. The effect these people had on our lives cannot be articulated. It transcends technical and academic skills; it was a service and kindness that will always be remembered.
