Looking for a job? Career Services is a good place to start!

Every weekday, our staff receives information about new jobs and positions open from employers all over Washington state. Most local businesses and organizations recognize the value of hiring bright, motivated Skagit Valley College students and they send us their job listings daily by FAX, telephone, mail, email and personal visits to the Career Services office on the Mount Vernon Campus. In addition, we have almost 700 active employers registered in our Online Job Board.

Part of our job is to facilitate the connection between employer and job candidate. We do that by posting as many jobs as space allows on our hallway Job Board, located just outside the Counseling and Career Services Office in the Campus Center Building on the Mount Vernon campus. If you don't see anything that you like on the hallway Job Board, stop in to the Career Resource Center and ask to see the rest of the job notices that we didn't have room to post.

When we receive information about a job that matches one of our Professional/Technical degree programs, we pass that information along to the faculty, who make their students aware of emerging job and career opportunities.

You can even search for jobs while in the comfort of your home, using the Online Job Board. It's free and easy to register. And once you're registered, you'll have access to the other cool features that will be helpful in finding the job, internship or career you desire.
