When Are Financial Aid Applications Due?
Please correspond your application due date with the quarter that youare planning on starting classes at SVC.

- Summer 2011: Applications are due by March 1, 2011
Fall 2011: Applications are due by June 8, 2011
Winter 2012: Applications are due by November 11, 2011
Spring 2012: Applications are due by February 10, 2012
Can I get help filling out the FAFSA?
If you have any questions regarding the completion of your FAFSA you may bring your worksheet and tax returns into the Financial Aid Office and let one of the staff members review it with you. No appointment is necessary. Financial Aid Office hours are as follows:
- Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters on days school is in session:
9:00 to 10:00am, 10:45am to 2:00pm, and 3:00 to 4:45pm. - Summer quarter and break periods: 11:00am to 12:30pm and 3:00 to 4:30pm (closed Fridays).
- Office hours at Whidbey campus may vary. Please contact that office for hours of operation.
When will I find out if I get financial aid?
Financial aid applications are evaluated and reviewed according to Expected Family Contribution and the date your file is completed within the award cycles listed below. By completing the application process before the end of the award cycle date, you will have your eligibility determined before the start of the quarter. You will receive full funding consideration for the year if you mail your FAFSA before February 20.Do I have to be enrolled full-time to get financial aid?
You do not need to be enrolled in 12 or more credits (full-time) to receive financial aid. If you enroll in 9 - 11 credits (3/4 time) you will receive approximately 75% of your grant. If you enroll in 6 - 8 credits (1/2 time) you will receive approximately 50% of your grant. If you enroll in less than 6 credits you may be eligible to receive a small amount of your grant.Can I transfer my financial aid?
You cannot automatically transfer your financial aid from one school to another. You must complete the application process at the college or university that you plan to attend. You should contact the school that you are transferring to and find out about their application process. If you will be transferring from another school to SVC, contact us at (360) 416-7666.Can I get financial aid for Summer Quarter?
Yes, you can get financial aid for the summer quarter. Financial aid is available to summer students about July 15, if your financial aid file is processed and complete, so remember to make arrangements with registration to defer your tuition until then. You must also come up with your own book money
