Whidbey Island Representatives
WIC Student Governement Chairperson

My name is Lauren Cribb. I’m the chairperson of this year’s student government. This is my third year at Skagit and second year in Student Government. I’m also a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I’m very excited for this school year. If you have questions or concerns, let me know; I’m here to serve you! You’re also invited to join us for meetings on Tuesdays. I look forward to working with and getting to know the students on the Whidbey Island Campus.
Treasurer and Club Liaison

Hello, my name is Kyle Lancaster. During my term I will be acting as Treasure and Club Liaison. My goal for the 2011-2012 school year is to represent students to the best of my abilities. I'm very interested to hear feedback from all of the students. Let us know how we are doing! Questions, comments, and suggestions are appreciated. Involved students are more likely to succeed, so please join us at our weekly meetings. If you want to get involved with a club or create your own club, talk to me.
Secretary

My name is Angela Toney, a student government representative with Skagit Valley College at the Whidbey Island Campus. This is my second year at Skagit Valley College. I am a student of Marine Technology Program located in Anacortes.
Parliamentarian

My name is Dita Spader. I've been a student at Skagit off and on since September 2007. I didn't do much with my opportunity as a running start student and I slacked off in high school. I decided to go back to school three years after starting Skagit for the first time and haven't let my grades slip past a 'B' once. I owe my dedication to getting involved in clubs on campus and forming alliances with people who care just as much about learning and making the grade as I do. That's why I feel it is so important for students to get involved. Not getting involved with some sort of club or forming at least one productive friendship could be the difference in dropping out and obtaining a degree.
Aside from being the parliamentarian for Student Government, I also work as a library aide as well as in the computer lab. I am a five star member of Phi Theta Kappa and served as project manager for our honors project for banned book week.
It's intense to go to school fulltime and sometimes work over 15 hours a week. I can only imagine how hard it would be to do it as a single parent. If I can reach out to at least one person who feels overwhelmed with his or her workload to the point of wanting to quit, then I will feel accomplished. Because if a slacker like me can accomplish as much as I have then anyone can.

My name is Tommy Lile. I am one of the 2011-2012 WIC Student Government representatives. I am very honored to have the opportunity, this year, to help benefit the school and students in any way I can. I am here to represent you, the students, to help you have the best Skagit Valley experience. If you have an ideas for Skagit Valley, that would improve school life for students, or have any questions, please stop by in the Student Organization Office in room two in the Old Main building.
