Microsoft® Office Specialist Certification

Microsoft® Office Specialist Certification Testing Center

To support students, job applicants, and employees who wish to validate their computer skill proficiency, the Skagit Valley College Office Administration and Accounting Technologies department has been designated as a Microsoft® Office Specialist (MOS) certification authorized testing center. Located at SVC's Mount Vernon Campus, the testing center provides the only comprehensive certification program designed to validate computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.

To become a Microsoft Office Specialist, candidates must pass an exam for each application for which they wish to be certified such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. MOS certification is a valuable credential recognized worldwide as proof that candidates have obtained the computing skills needed to work more productively and efficiently.

The fee for each exam is $75 for the general public and $60 for SVC students. Practice exams are available at no charge. For more information about Microsoft Office Specialist certification, to schedule an exam, or to learn about preparatory course work, contact Kristi Spinnie, SVC Office Administration and Accounting Technologies instructor, (360) 416-7944 or kristi.spinnie@skagit.edu. Spring Quarter classes and workshops at Skagit Valley College will begin Tuesday, March 27 at all SVC locations.
