Whidbey Island Campus Admissions/Registration
The goal of the Whidbey Island Campus Registration Office is to foster student success by focusing on the learning process while remaining flexible and accessible; engaging students as active partners in their learning and in shaping and participating in the life of the college community.
How to Apply for Admissions and Register
All degree-seeking students must submit an application to SVC. The steps in completing the process are:
1. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Complete the application in full, sign, date and return it to the Admissions Office or apply on-line at Online Application. Complete and return the Immunization Status Form.
2. SEND FOR YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS. If you have attended other colleges, send your official college transcript(s) to the Student Services Office. If you are a Running Start student, request your official high school transcript be sent to us in a sealed envelope.
3. TAKE THE COMPASS PLACEMENT TEST. You are required to take the COMPASS test for placement in English and math courses. Your application for admissions must be on file before making a test appointment. (If your college transcripts show previous English and math classes acceptable for evaluation, the college may waive this requirement.) Call to schedule an appointment:

4. SEE AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR. After the application process is complete, you may make an advising appointment for course selection before registration (360-679-5319). Running Start students must see an advisor each quarter before registering for classes.
5. REGISTER FOR CLASSES. After the advising appointment is complete, you may register on-line Register On-line or at your local campus or center. On-line registration is not available for Running Start Students (must register in person).
6. PAY TUITION AND FEES. All tuition and fees must be paid by the deadline stated in the quarterly schedule or as posted online.
How To Fund Your Education
If you need financial assistance for college tuition, fees, and related expenses, you should apply immediately for financial aid as it is a lengthy process. The Financial Aid Office has information on grants, loans, scholarships and other options to assist you. Call for more information:
