Hello,

I am Marios Zigomalas, new head coach for the men's and women's soccer program at Skagit Valley College. I played professional European soccer for ten years, and I have been coaching teams in the United States for the last 26 years. I also have a UEFA "A" coaching license. I plan to make the Skagit Valley College Men's and Women's Soccer teams the best in the Northwest. If you enjoy playing soccer, and would like to be part of a winning team, I encourage you to come talk with me, and try out for Skagit Valley College Soccer.

After two years with me, players are ready to transfer to teams at four-year universities or play professionally. I'll bring in European coaches to scout future pro players and to teach special training workshops. I also plan to take players to soccer camps in places like Greece and Italy, where you will learn advanced techniques and the history of the Game.

Mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation in the game of soccer, and in life. I'll teach you to focus your mind as well as your body. I emphasize teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude. These are all skills that will help you on the field, in your classes, and in your everyday life. A lot of students don't know what they are going to do after college. If you're one of those people, I'll help you explore your talents and pick a career to major in at a four-year university.

I train players who are serious about Soccer. I expect my athletes to come to practice ready to learn, adapt to new techniques of the game, and meet all practice and game responsibilities.

This is my first year at Skagit Valley College. I'm excited to be here, and I need your help to make Skagit Valley College Soccer the best in the Northwest.
