Head Coach

Tao Shen

Coach Tao Shen was two year assistant at Whatcom CC where he helped the program to 2-consecutive conference championships and one time NWAACC 3rd place finish in 2007. He is also involved as a head coach at FC Alliance, youth premier soccer club in Bothell, WA.

He played his collegiate soccer at Concordia University in Portland, OR where he helped the team to win a conference championship and a national ranking as high as #16 in the country. He also played one year at Spokane CC and helped the team with a 3rd place finish in 2005. Coach Shen played semi-professionally with the Yakima Reds (PDL) and Las Vegas Strikers (MPSL) during his summer month away from Washington State University.

Coach Shen, a native Chinese, lived 5 years in Germany where he started to develop a passion for the game of soccer. He is excited and honored to lead the Cardinal Men's Soccer team back to its winning ways.

Assistant Coach

Garen Bedoyan

Coach Garen Bedoyan is a USSF C license. He has numerous coaching experiences at the premier youth level in the states of Arizona, Oregon and Washington. Recently he worked for CPSC in Vancouver, Washington coaching age¹s U-9 to U-16. Coach Bedoyan is also a candidate at the prestigious University of Liverpool, studying his MBA in Football Industries. As a player, he was awarded as a NAIA All-American, All-Region Forward & Defender, team MVP & Captain at Warner Pacific University in Portland, OR.

Also, he was a 2-time NWAACC All-Star, 2nd-Place finisher and team captain at Spokane Community College. He played semi-professionally with the Spokane Shadow (PDL) and Arizona Saguaros (MPSL) and has had professional trials in Germany and Jordan. At Pullman High School, he was the Defensive League MVP and Team Captain and 1998 2A State Champion.

Nicholas Joseph Cook

Coach Nick Cook is in his first season with the Cardinal soccer program. A St. Louis, MO., native, Cook played his college soccer at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, WA and Bellevue Community College. He was awarded as 2nd-Team ALL Metro League Mountain Division at Eastside Catholic High School. He has numerous playing experiences at the premier level with sides such as Eastside FC, Northwest Nationals, and Emerald City FC. As a coach, Cook spent time as a staff with Seattle Sounders summer camps and other premier camps in the Northwest and Midwest.
