Basic Health of Washington State

The Basic Health is a state sponsored health insurance program for low to moderate-income residents of WA state. Basic Health is currently enrolling; many students are eligible for coverage. Applications may be downloaded from this site. Help with filling out the application is available at the Health Services office on the Mount Vernon campus or over the phone. Basic Health Program.

Healthy Kids Now!

Infants through teenagers can receive free or low-cost health insurance.  Many families in Washington State qualify and don't know it.  The programs are flexible and cover kids in many types of households.

The process is easy and many working families qualify.  Income, family size (be sure to include a pregnancy as a family member) and some monthly expenses are reviewed for eligibility. 

Over 100,000 children and teenagers in Washington State don't have health insurance.  Many families can get free or low-cost health insurance for their kids.   A family of 4 with gross income up to $4,032 a month may be eligible.  Healthy Kids Now.

The Sentry Student Security Plan

The Sentry Student Security Plan is the Skagit Valley College recommended health insurance program for students who wish to purchase coverage with a student plan. This plan also includes a dental option. This plan can also cover spouses and children. The Sentry Student Security Plan.
