I grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in the little town of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin.  After completing degrees in Psychology and Spanish from St. Norbert College in Green Bay, WI, I decided to take on my first professional role in a children’s school at the University of Chicago.  Overnight, I left a community of two thousand to join one of two million people.

I spent the next ten years working as a child development specialist in the vibrant Hispanic communities of inner city Chicago.  I had found my niche, and further pursued my love of early learning at the Erikson Institute, a graduate school of child development, education, and social work.  I graduated with a Masters in child development in 2006.  Later that year, I moved to Vancouver, B.C. for love, and consequently fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.  My husband Alastair and I call Blaine, WA our home.
