Overview

The math center is designed to be a place where students feel comfortable to study either individually or in small groups.  Tutors are available to assist in course material from our basic skill courses through calculus.  Students from the sciences also use the center to form small study groups for chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, etc.

Student-use computers are also available in the center, including two Macs.  Installed software include the MS-Office Suite, MyMathLab, and a variety of math software:

• Scientific Notebook
• TI-Connect
• Mathematica
• Geometers' Sketchpad
• Fractal Software
• Peanut Software

The math center is open to all SVC students.
