Computer Home Production Studio Series

Kids, join us for this series of 5 workshops (2 this quarter and 3 summer quarter) in Computer Animation. Complete the entire series and earn a certificate as a Computer Home Studio Master. You’ll learn computer animation, animated video production, audio production, web TV site production and setting up your home studio.

Computer Animation: Computer Drawings to Animated Pictures

Learn all you need to get started drawing (with a story in mind) on your PC. You’ll learn to stitch those creations (GIF frames) together into an animation, that you will share with the class, on a web page or even your own movie production! Learn the basics of PC use, computer drawing and animation. For students 8-12 years old.

Artmation: Art to Computer Animated Video

Expand your skills as you turn your favorite art creation (drawing, paper folding, clay modeling) into a stop motion video. We’ll use Claymation to teach you basic skills of clay modeling and movie making: clay character, stage and scene construction, digital photography, special visual effects and narration. For students 8-12 years old.

From Shore to Floor: Marine Biology Day Camp

Explore the world of marine biology during your spring break! Spend 5 fun-packed days digging deep into the world beneath the surface. Our classroom will be the beaches and tidepools surrounding the Walla Walla College Marine Station in Anacortes where our class will meet each day (details available upon registration). Investigate crabs, sea stars, sea slugs marine mammals and more sea creatures.

Introduction to Martial Arts

In this highly respected international course you will learn of the respect, discipline, and physical benefits of the martial arts, as well as the fun and sense of accomplishment and togetherness that follow training with other students, including mom and dad! This course is for anyone age 8 and above interested in beginning a truly worthwhile personal and family experience. The class will be taught at 2201 Continental Place, Mount Vernon. Two or more siblings may register for 6203 at $49 each.
