Kelsey Savage-Swapp is entering her fourth year as the head coach for the Skagit Valley Cardinals. This past season the team finished first in the Northern Region with a league record of 11-1 and Kelsey was also named Northern Division Coach of the Year for the 2006 season. Kelsey also coached for the Skagit Valley Volleyball Club in 2004 and the Stanwood Volleyball Club in 2005 & 2006. Kelsey played volleyball and basketball at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. She continued to play both sports at Skagit Valley College where she was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2000. She then went on to Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR where she continued to play volleyball. She received her B.A. in Education (2002) as well as her Masters degree from Pacific University in 2003.

Kelsey lives in Anacortes, WA with her husband Pat and son Ty (5 months). She also teaches at Washington Elementary in Mount Vernon, WA.

Lianna Neyens

Lianna Neyens is entering her third year as the assistant coach for the Skagit Valley Cardinals. Lianna is a 1997 Marysville Pilchuck High School graduate, where she played volleyball, was team captain and named First Team All League. She then played volleyball for two years at Skagit Valley College earning team MVP, First Team All Conference and represented Skagit on the 1998 Sophomore All Star team. Lianna then earned a scholarship to play volleyball and track for Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, OR. She was selected to First Team All Conference for volleyball and was the conference javelin champion in track. She received her B.S. in Business with a marketing emphasis in 2002. Lianna has also played and coached club volleyball. She played for Rain City Volleyball Club (1994-1997) and coached for Skagit Volleyball Club in 2003-2005 and La Conner Volleyball Club in 2006.

Lianna lives in Mount Vernon, WA with her husband Steve and son Xavier (1). She is also an advertising representative for MacGregor Publishing.
