BFSU SUMMER STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Complete the International Summer Program Application form and Homestay Application form.

Step 1 – Optional New York & Dc Tour

If you wish to join the optional tour of US Cities with our partner Smithsonian Student Tours, click here, go to "Parents and Students", click "Enroll in your teacher's tour" and enter Tour Number 639760. You will register and pay for the tour directly to Smithsonian. Click here to view details of the Tour Itinerary.

Step 2 – Payment

  1. Enclose a check or money order for $346 payable to Skagit Valley College, or fill/type in
    the Visa/MasterCard information on the Homestay application. Please identify card type.
  2. BY APRIL 30, 2009, mail, fax or email your payment, the registration form and the
    Homestay Application to:

Step 3 – Confirmation Letter

Upon payment of your $346 deposit you will be sent a confirmation of registration from the International Program Office at Skagit Valley College that you can take to the American embassy or consulate to apply for your U.S. visa. The International Program Office will work with you to arrange your homestay. Payment for the homestay ($500 plus $100 damage deposit) will be made to your host family directly after you arrive. Step 4 – Final Payment

When you arrive on campus you will make your final payment by registering for your class (BIOL 151A) and paying the tuition ($254) and fees ($300).
