Lisa Shannon – A Journey Of Hope
Lisa Shannon, humanitarian and author of A Thousand Sisters: My Journey of Hope into the Worst Place on Earth to be a Woman, will share her personal story of awakening to the horror of atrocities against women in the war-torn African Congo, her determination to make a difference, and what she learned from these courageous women.

- Internationally recognized for supporting women's struggle against torture and oppression in war-torn regions of central Africa
- Author of "A Thousand Sisters: My Journey of Hope into the Worst Place on Earth to be a Woman"
- Founded Run for Congo Women, a grassroots series of runs/walks taking place throughout the U.S. and Europe that have raised more than $1,000,000 in sponsorships that help support Congolese women
