Instructions for Logging Into Blackboard

Connecting to your SVC Online class

This is how you log into Blackboard – please read carefully!

1. Access the Website:  http://skagit.blackboard.com

2. Enter your Username:
   It is the same as your MySVC username. This will be the first initial of your first name, your full last name, followed by the last 4 digits of your student identification number (SID). (For example, jdoe2345)

   If you are having trouble with your username, please view the Username Lookup system from the MySVC EduApps Start Page

3. Enter the User Password: Your default MySVC Password is created from a combination of your birthday, your first, & last name (case sensitive). 

   For Example:
   Birthday: 01/01/1980
   Name: John Smith
   The password would be: 010180JoSm

   PLEASE NOTE THAT THE J & S ARE CAPITALIZED IN THE ABOVE EXAMPLE! YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME INITIALS WOULD NEED TO BE CAPITALIZED AS WELL.

   This will take you to the Blackboard Welcome page. Look for your courses in the "My Courses" window. NOTE: Your courses may not appear on your "My Courses" list until June 23rd, 2008.

How do I get Financial Aid verification?

Visit the Distance Education office for a signature. Forms cannot be signed until the first day of the quarter. If you cannot visit the DE office, call us at 360.416.7770.

How do I get help with technical problems in my online class?

Contact the DE office at 360.416.7770.

How do I get help about assignments, course content or other course-related questions?

Contact your course instructor. Your instructor's email address is available in your online classroom.

How do I get information about wait lists, withdrawal procedures, and other registration information?

Contact the Registration office at 360.416.7700.
