Parent Education Cooperatives

In the Parent Education Cooperatives, parents study their children's development and behavior at different ages and participate fully in that learning process. There is opportunity for parents to share ideas with other parents, to learn new ways to enjoy children, and to make new friends.

Why parent education?  Parenthood requires education and experience, just like any other occupation.   These parent education programs are the best way to help parents of young children become more effective in their important role as parents...learning skills of successful parenthood.

Features

  • Cooperative preschools for parents and children ages two to five years, and toddler classes for children under age two. Parent must attend toddler class, or preschool weekly; learn with the children and other parents; attend  monthly meetings on management of the preschool; and enjoy additional parent education presentations and discussions.
