CAPTURE IMAGES OF THE MILKY WAY (Mount Vernon Campus)
Have you ever wanted to learn how to capture images of the Milky Way? On nights with no moon and clear skies the North Cascades offer some fantastic opportunities to take vivid pictures of our galaxy. This 3-session class includes in-class instruction of how to capture these stunning images, followed by an outdoor class session at the Washington Pass Overlook. Then there will be a final classroom session where Andy will show you how to use Photoshop to edit your images to perfection. Here is what you'll need to bring equipment-wise: A DSLR camera, wide-angle lens (preferably 14-24mm), sturdy tripod, and cable release. Andy Porter is a nationally known and published photographer based here in Sedro-Woolley. You can see his work at: www.andyporterimages.com.
