Technical jargon and ever-changing hardware can make getting started with computers intimidating. This class helps make sense of computer terminology and familiarizes the user with common concepts. Photoshop Elements: Learn the basics of Photoshop Elements 11 - 13, the user-friendly and affordable little brother of Adobe Photoshop. We will learn to adjust the lighting and white balance of your photos, add blue to skies, and use tools to remove or add things to your photos and to crop them. We will also convert photos to black and white and bring selective color back into the picture. Finally, we will make people look better by removing pimples and giving a computer liposuction. Expect three nights of having fun with your pictures and getting a basic understanding of how to use this remarkable software. Go beyond the basics of Photoshop Elements, the user-friendly, affordable edition and little brother of Adobe Photoshop. After a quick review, we will go on to projects appropriate to the needs of the class. These might include creating perfect portraits, restoring old photos, adding overlays and glow to your images and other enhancements. There will be plenty of time to work on your own projects with Karen's advice and instruction to help achieve your goals. You can use the school's computers which have a version 10, or bring you own laptops with more current versions. Karen will explain the process using versions 10, 11 and 12, as needed.
