NOTE: Prerequisites: ENGL& 101, HMATH 100, and NURS 136. (Students may take NURS 136 or BIOL& 241 and 242 or AHE 106). Students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program MUST complete all four quarters to be eligible for the certificate. Students who wish to transfer to the Associate Degree RN program at the Mount Vernon Campus must make contact with the nursing program in Mount Vernon to have their name placed on the wait list. Before being placed on the wait list, the student must be able to provide authentication that they have completed all the prerequisites required for the associate degree RN nursing program.
LPN to RN Part time schedule

NOTE: SVC offers a program for nurses who have graduated from a PN program and have a current Washington State LPN license. Located on the Whidbey Island Campus, the LPN to RN ATA Degree program is part time, focusing on the second year of the Associate Degree in Registered Nursing. Students complete the same RN program prerequisites, related education courses, and 6 quarters of nursing courses required for the ATA degree. The program was designed to create a pathway for PN graduates to move into high-wage, high-demand career opportunities in healthcare. Graduates of this program receive an Associate Degree in Registered Nursing and are eligible to apply for the State Licensing Examination (NCLEX RN) for Registered Nursing. Students are selected for admission to the LPN to RN program. Students must complete all RN program prerequisites and all graduation requirements with a C or better and hold an active Washington State Practical Nurse license (LPN)to make application to the LPN to RN program.
