This learning community explores how Western Music (MUSC& amp;105) and Reading (AESL 103) can contribute to the understanding of how music develops within the context of culture, history and technological development. Students will be expected to read a common textbook, listen to a variety of western music and communicate in pairs and/or groups on projects. Style, language and culture affect communication in relationships. For AESL students only.

Description and Prerequisite:

Focus on college-level reading, discussion, and test taking skills in a linked format. Vocabulary building, critical thinking, summarizing, paraphrasing, and response writing based on readings.
