The Pharmacy Technician program prepares students for the role of support personnel in the hospital, clinical, home health care agencies, mail-order and retail pharmacies. Working under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians provide assistance to the pharmacist in a variety of tasks involving the packaging, distribution, compounding, labeling, and recording of drugs.

4th Annual OktoberFest on Tap October 10th

In celebration of the traditional season of fall brews, Skagit Valley College Professional/Technical Programs and SVC Foundation will team up to host the 4th annual OktoberFest on Thursday, October 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The event will take place in the Gary Knutzen Cardinal Center, located on the Mount Vernon Campus.

The highly popular Cardinal Craft Brew tastings will be paired with small plates prepared by SVC Culinary Arts student chefs. Enjoy brats, spätzle, apple strudel, and more. In addition, refreshing Cardinal Craft beers will be on tap.

Admission to OktoberFest is free, with $2 tasting tickets sold at the door. This is a family friendly event and is open to the public. Attendees must bring identification to be served alcohol.
