Mount Vernon Campus Parking

Parking on the Mount Vernon Campus is available on a “first come, first served” basis in parking lots designated as student spaces. Campus maps and a list of student parking rules are available in the Security Office in the Gary Knutzen Cardinal Center building.

Parking spaces are limited. Allow enough time before your class or appointment to find a space. Visitor spaces are short-term only and are NOT to be used by staff or students.

Parking decals are required for all vehicles parked in Student or Staff spaces on the Mount Vernon Campus, between 7 am and 4 pm, and are available at no additional cost at the Security Office. Students are not permitted to use Visitor or Staff parking at any time.

Parking Fines

  • General violation: $10
  • Parked in carpool spot: $20
  • A non-electric vehicle parked in electric vehicle spot: $20
  • Parked in fire lane: $50

Students issued a parking citation may pay fines at the Cashier’s Window on campus. If a fine is not paid by the end of the quarter, you may be blocked from registering for classes, receiving grades or transcripts or other academic services.

Please Note: Businesses nearby the Mount Vernon Campus and across Laventure Road have been known to ticket and tow student vehicles which can amount to a hefty fine. Please avoid parking at those locations.
