Financial Aid & ctcLink

Your financial aid information is available in ctcLink!   

Your financial aid information including upcoming awards, outstanding requirements/documentation, and your satisfactory academic progress (SAP) status resides within ctcLink. 

– Students with outstanding requirements will be notified by email and to dos will be posted within their ctcLink account. 
– To view your financial aid information, please visit the Financial Aid section within your ctcLink account. If you have outstanding requirements, you will need to complete those before being awarded.

The Financial Aid tile in ctcLink provides access to:

  • Aid Year Information – Review your awards for the given academic year.
  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) – Review your SAP status and the Institutional SAP Policy.
  • Loan Counseling – Review and complete your Loan Entrance Counseling.

If we need to mail your refund or other documents, we will use the address listed in ctcLink. We assume your information is accurate, so it is important to review and confirm. Follow the steps listed here (link), and click “Addresses” on step 4.

If we need additional information to continue processing your financial aid file, you will see a To Do posted within your ctcLink Homepage. Click into the To Do item for more information on the requirement and what action to take. Review our Financial Aid and ctcLink Guide for more information.

2023 – 2024 Federal Direct Loan Application:

General Eligibility Requirements

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Eligibility
  • Be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen;
  • Be registered with the Selective Service (if required);
  • Be enrolled in an eligible program of study and are enrolled in eligible classes that lead to a degree or certificate offered by SVC that is at least one year in length;
  • Have a high school diploma, GED certificate;
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
  • Not be in default on any student loan or owe a repayment on any grant received at any institute of higher education.
Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) Eligibility
  • Have HB1079 or DACA status;
  • Be enrolled in an eligible program of study and are enrolled in eligible classes that lead to a degree or certificate offered by SVC that is at least one year in length;
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
  • Meet certain Washington State Residency requirements.
The information that you report on your application is used to determine your Expected Family Contribution. When your file is complete, the SVC Financial Aid Office will evaluate your application and notify you of your eligibility.

Your financial aid need is determined using the following formula:
Cost of attendance – Expected family contribution = Financial need
