Celebrate Skagit Audio Tour

Team “Celebrate Skagit” released an audio tour of the Skagit Valley. This audio tour features local history, geology, tourism, and culture of the Skagit Valley all tied to the scenic Highway 20 corridor. The Skagit County Historical Museum partnered on this project. Team members include Ron Feld/Skagit County Mediation Services, Millie Fosberg/Whidbey Island Bank, Alan Muia/Skagit Valley College, Katie Philbrick/Preview Properties, Peggy Taylor/Island Hospital, and Margie Wilson/Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland. This team was coached by Jon Aarstad.

Today this city is the Valley’s hub of commerce. Surprisingly this wasn’t the settlement – find out why.

Visitors seeking a quiet village atmosphere, excellent restaurants & boutiques along the waterfront enjoy this former village year-round.

Bay View

From logging to digging miles of dikes by hand, this is the story of a town that grew up overnight & then returned to a quiet rural community.


This western most section of the North Cascades Highway offers parks, scenic views & a thriving port.

Deception Pass

Deception Pass features great views of bays, lakes, islands & mountains. Young men from the Civil Conservation Corps built Deception State park & its many trails.
