This class covers the fundamentals of digital photography and is for people with a camera that can change to manual, not just automatic. (Point-and-shoot cameras will work if they have advanced manual settings). Night Photography (Mount Vernon Campus)
Learn how another world of photography begins once the sun goes down! We will meet on campus and then shoot at Little Mountain Park. We will use long exposures to photograph night scenes and star trails, plus explore painting with light, using flashlights and flashes. Photoshop Elements II (Mount Vernon Campus)
Go beyond the basics of Photoshop Elements, the user-friendly, affordable edition and little brother of Adobe Photoshop. After a quick review, we will go on to projects appropriate to the needs of the class. These might include creating perfect portraits, restoring old photos, adding overlays and glow to your images and other enhancements. There will be plenty of time to work on your own projects with Karen's advice and instruction to help achieve your goals. You can use the school's computers which have a version 10, or bring your own laptops with more current versions. Karen will explain the process using versions 10, 11 and 12, as needed. Prerequisite: Photoshop Elements I or good working knowledge of the program.
